Pregnancy - Childbirth
About two weeks before the end of pregnancy the fetus is usually set in the position of term birth. This tip is ready for delivery. A child who could not move around relatively freely in the pelvis is too little space for violent movements and sets the position of term birth. Most infants twist so that their head is pointing down toward the mother's pelvis. We call this the position of the head.
Scientists are not sure what factors cause labor. Perhaps they are occurring in this time of hormonal changes, such as oxytocin, having the muscle contractions of the uterus. It is possible that the birth initiates the pressure exerted by the fetus on the mother's internal organs, or the inability to meet the needs of the placenta growing embryo. Labor lasts from fifteen to twenty-four hours. Begins with contractions of the uterus, initially occurring every twenty, thirty minutes. Later, their frequency increases and reaches two or three minutes. Each contraction lasts about a minute. These cramps are caused by an increase in blood levels of female hormone - oksycytyny. The cervix begins to open. Then leave "pivot" in the form of mucus tinged with blood, gelatinous fluid. Later, the bag breaks and the amniotic fluid surrounding the fetus comes through the vagina. This phenomenon is called "the departure of water.
